The Petersburg Fire Department is always looking for new volunteers. If you have firefighting experience or no experience at all we will still allow you to apply for membership. We usually add new members in pairs. We feel it is easier to train in pairs than single person training. Once awarded membership on the fire department you will be assigned a mentor to assist you in your needs as a fireman. Petersburg Fire Department will pay for all required training and some members even take the next step and make a career out of the fire service. Petersburg Fire Department is a paid per call department. Each firefighter receives sixteen dollars per fire emergency call. If you are interested in joining please email Chief Pat Rebbe. Chief Rebbe serves as membership coordinator.

By now you have probably seen the reflective 911 home address signs on many of your neighbor's mailbox posts.
Made of the same tough materials as road signs these home address signs are so reflective in the dark that members of the Petersburg Fire Department don't have to struggle to read your address at night.
If you are interested please contact 911 coordinator John Balster at 217-632-5460 to purchase these signs.
The Petersburg Fire Department is currently accepting applications to join the department. If you are interested and would like to get more information on the department. Please contact our membership officer Chief Pat Rebbe at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We normally add members in pairs but we will accept applications at any time.
